How it happened…

Riders were greeted with a spectacular morning in Annecy. The finish of the red times section was the top of the Col de la Croix Fry. There was a battle on the steep lower slopes between Dave Dent, Magnus Backstedt and Paul Vine. Eventually with Paul dropped Magnus started attacking Dave however was reeled in every time, except in the last 500m when Magnus came from behind to pip Dave on the line. Magnus gained a second on Dave Dent who retained the Giro Cycles Leaders Jersey.

Kelli Bayliss once again proved her strength by breaking away early on the lower slopes and finishing comfortable ahead of her nearest rivals, Rebecca Johnson and Tamala McGee, thus retaining the Giro Cycles Leaders Jersey

The dates for next years event is 9-13 September 2015 with Early Bird entries opening on the 24th September 14:00 BST
